Perfumes - Why Wear Scent?
Why wear scent - Smelling good makes you feel attractive, makes you feel good in yourself, raises your self esteem and gives you a positive attitude - it gives you the feel good, the Wow factor.
The sense of smell is one of the most powerful senses that we have, it brings back the most distant memories. Our nasal cells of which there are millions enable us to smell. As infants, we call upon this sense to help recognise our mothers, while it also claims to play a vital role in the science of sexual attraction.
Some people have a really acute sense of smell, some of these people have lost or have a poor sense of sight or hearing.
Perfumes and aftershaves smell differently when worn on the skin, so don't rely on a sniff from the bottle. Always, test perfumes before buying.
Once a tester is applied, look around the shop or have a cup of coffee for at least 15 minutes and see how you feel about it then.
Perfumes can take up to an hour to fully develop, which means first impressions rarely tell you anything.
Make sure the scent suits YOU, what comes great on a friend may not be so good on you.
Now How best to apply -
1. Spray or dab perfume to a couple of your pulse points, your wrists and neck, though some women like to try on other places, back of the knees, crease of the elbows and/or their cleavage. Do it where ever is best for you.
2. Do not rub wrists together afterwards as this changes the scent.
3. Spray a little into the air and walk into it to appreciate the scent and smell all over you.
4. If you're wearing perfume, it is best not to use other scented body lotions, toners, or moisturisers, as the result will be an unusual combination unless it is the same as the perfume. Use unscented products instead.
5. Keep perfume away from heat and direct sunlight and make sure the lid is on firmly to keep it at its best.
6. You can also test at home - try for yourself and see how great the FM range of fragrances really are!
